We are so thankful to all who donated to our Serve Our Schools supply drive, and today we got to distribute the collected supplies to our local teachers! We had the privilege of hosting the final stop on the Beaufort County School District Teacher Bus Tour this afternoon as local teachers visited the church for refreshments, encouragement, and a time of prayer. Thank you to all who donated and organized supplies and helped welcome our teachers!

Last night, we remembered Christ’s Last Supper and the promise that we will one day dine with Him around the great Banquet Table. Today, on Good Friday, we remember Christ’s sacrifice as we recount his agonizing death and suffering as he bore our sins upon Calvary’s tree. And on Sunday morning, we celebrate Christ as the Mighty Victor over sin and death as we declare Him to be risen and resurrected in glory. We invite you to join us over the next few days as we move towards Easter Sunday. Our Good Friday service is today from 12 - 1 PM (childcare is provided).
Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus with His disciples. We hope you can join us tonight at 6 PM as we celebrate communion in remembrance of His sacrifice for us. Our senior high mission team in Corpus Christi, TX re-shingled an entire roof today! The team is working alongside Reach Global to serve families still recovering from Hurricane Harvey. Our students are going out to four separate work sites each day, doing roofing, interior painting and repair, and praying and building relationships with the neighbors in the community.

FLORIDA MISSION TRIP UPDATE: From T. Pitzer: Good evening from Florida! It is said that in life there are wonderful peaks and difficult valleys. We found out today that the quote must be referring to those attempting to roof a valley! For professionals, this is likely a simple part of the job; however it proved to be quite challenging for our group. We learned the importance of listening to each other as we all put our heads together to solve various patterns. Tomorrow, we hope to finish the roof we are working on! There is another group coming in to work on the second house after. Our Reach Global and supervising contractor Jim Esson has been a joy to learn from and very encouraging. He even said we have been the best skilled group so far! (We are not willing to contact the other groups to see how many of them he has said that to- hah!) Will update you on our progress tomorrow.
